Claire is a singer and songwriter grounded in community. She is the lead vocalist of the Latin indie folk-pop band, Coraza, a group with a thing for instrument switching, genre bending, and evocative bilingual lyrics.

Claire is also a co-organizer of the Oakland chapter of Bushwick Book Club, a unique event series that marries her two greatest loves: literature and music. At each BBCO event, local musicians are invited to read the same book, then write and debut a new original song in response to that book.

In collaboration with musicians Mia Pixley and Nikbo, Claire co-composed the score for When Your Skin Calls You Home, a play about what happens when we lose—or are robbed of—an essential part of ourselves, inspired by the story “Seal Skin, Soul Skin” from Women Who Run With the Wolves. The play is currently being adapted into a film by filmmakers Mer Al Dao and Lau Trejo.
